Why New Homes?

Pre-wiring for low-voltage systems can save you hundreds of dollars (or more)!

Most importantly, prewire allows you to plan ahead for smart systems such as security, home automation, or entertainment setups. This gets you ahead of the game and makes you a much happier buyer.

Secondly, it avoids any disruption to the house’s structure and aesthetic after construction is finished. Retrofit can look out of place and/or cost more if patches and difficult routes are required.

Lastly, pre-wiring increases the resale value of the house, making it more attractive to future homebuyers who value modern technology (More money for you!!!).

Ultimately, pre-wiring for low-voltage systems is cost-effective, convenient, and offers significant advantages during and after construction!

Retrofit

Retrofit means running cable after a building has been completed.

The retrofit process is usually more expensive and laborious than pre-planning during the building stage, but it can still be done.

When building a house, we recommend running wire even if you aren't sure if you'll install the cameras/speakers/etc.

At the bare minimum, ask your builder to add a wall chase (any pipe or conduit will do) from the attic to the low voltage area for later on. This makes it much easier to retrofit and will save you tons of money down the road.
